Feet turned out (or even just one foot) is commonly referred to as “duck foot” and something that is seen very often. This video is a quick drill you can do daily to help improve it.
1. Foot turn out, or “duck foot”, is common and often described as “that’s just how I am”, or “I’ve always been this way.” It’s that way for a reason!
2. It is commonly due to under activation of a structure in the brain stem called the PMRF, and a weak or inactive tibialis anterior muscle.
3. It’s often believed the cause is from a tight hip, but if you look at the anatomy, it is more likely coming from the lower leg.
4. A quick muscle activation drill can turn on the tibialis anterior and improve your brain function!
